Milford is a borough in Pike County, Pennsylvania and is the county seat.  It has a population of roughly 1,172 (2019).  It is part of the New York metropolitan area.  Milford was founded in 1796 after the American Revolutionary War on the Delaware River by one of Pennsylvania’s first four circuit judges John Biddis.  It was named after his ancestral home in Wales.
