Harrison Township is a township in Gloucester County, New Jersey and has a population of roughly 13,100 (2018).  It was originally formed as “Spicer Township” in March 1844 and included portions of Greenwich Township and Woolwich Township.  The name was changed less than a year later to Harrison Township, and was named after President William Henry Harrison.
