Hilltown is a township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, United States.  It has a population of roughly 15,527 (2018).  The first piece of recorded history for the township was 1683 when William Penn met the Indian Chiefs of the Delaware Nation.  It was known as the “Perkasie Indian Town” in those days as the settlers arrived around 1700.   Hilltown Pike (formerly old Bethlehem Road) was used from 1683 to travel from Philadelphia to the Durham iron mines.

The Historical Society of Hilltown Township – Non-profit organization founded in 1975 by a man named Jack Fox who is a long time resident of Hilltown Township.  It promotes interest in the historical heritage of the township as well as to preserve documents and artifacts.
